Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in internal communications, corporate communications, or crisis management.
- Proven track record operating at a principal or senior manager level within a global technology company.
- Demonstrated experience acting as a trusted right-hand to communications leadership.
- Deep, hands-on experience managing highly confidential communications around M&A, restructuring, and legal actions.
- Exceptional emotional intelligence and the ability to influence C-suite executives and legal counsel.
- Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects to deadline.
- Proven ability to ghostwrite for a variety of leaders with quick adaptation to tone and voice.
- Masterful storytelling and writing capabilities, with the ability to distill complex legal or regulatory nuances.
Responsibilities
- Partner with the Internal Communications Lead to co-architect the overarching strategic direction and execution of the global internal communications program.
- Serve as the point of contact with external communications during strategic projects and crises to ensure narrative alignment.
- Manage end-to-end strategy, narrative creation, and execution for high-stakes, sensitive corporate scenarios including legal issues, ethics cases, and safety incidents.
- Lead communication strategies for complex corporate evolutions such as M&A, organizational redesigns, and executive transitions.
- Provide strategic counsel and messaging frameworks regarding complex external political and social issues.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Legal, HR, Employee Relations, Security, and Corporate Affairs.
- Partner with the Finance organization to draft financial communications and executive internal messaging for the CFO.
