Requirements
- Managed an engineering organization of at least 100 people, including managers.
- Strong software engineering background with ability to read code and follow technical arguments.
- Accountable for systems where failure is expensive, such as financial, safety-critical, or regulated data systems.
- Experience hiring senior engineering leaders and managing performance.
- Excellent written communication skills for non-technical audiences.
- Demonstrable experience or clear perspective on AI in engineering.
- Ability to travel to markets at least twice per year.
- Must be able to provide a resume and cover letter in English.
Responsibilities
- Maintain high speed and simple designs as the engineering headcount grows.
- Ensure system reliability, uptime, and rigorous incident response standards.
- Manage and develop a team of approximately 132 engineers, including 5 direct reports, security, data, and infrastructure staff.
- Set the company's AI vision and oversee the safe implementation of AI tooling.
- Plan architecture and organizational structures to support rapid international expansion.
- Communicate engineering progress clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including regulators.
