Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in SRE, DevOps, or Platform Engineering.
- At least 2 years of experience in a Senior or Staff level role.
- Proficiency in at least one systems language (Go, Java, or C#).
- Proven track record managing automation and infrastructure in both cloud and on-premises environments.
- Deep expertise in Docker and Kubernetes (administration, networking, and security).
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, OpenTofu, or Ansible.
- Knowledge of release orchestration strategies like Canary or Blue-Green deployments.
- Deep understanding of observability best practices, telemetry, and monitoring.
- Familiarity with GitOps workflows and Everything as Code principles.
Responsibilities
- Design, scale, and maintain highly available, secure, and resilient systems spanning cloud (AWS/Azure) and on-premises environments.
- Champion platform engineering initiatives to reduce cognitive load and accelerate software engineering velocity.
- Own and optimize foundational services including API gateways, service meshes, caches, and configuration management.
- Drive GitOps workflows and Infrastructure as Code for all deployments.
- Standardize and secure CI/CD pipelines to ensure rapid, repeatable deployments.
- Implement automated chaos engineering, disaster recovery simulations, and telemetry stacks (Grafana, Datadog, OpenTelemetry).
- Define and enforce Service Level Objectives (SLOs) and Service Level Indicators (SLIs).
- Partner with engineering leadership to define long-term SRE strategy and mentor engineering teams.
