Requirements
- 8 or more years in security engineering with deep experience in cloud security.
- Hands-on expertise with AWS security services and IAM design.
- Proficiency in infrastructure as code.
- Demonstrated experience in detection engineering, including writing and tuning detections.
- Real-world incident response experience as a responder or lead.
- Application security expertise sufficient to judge exploitability and severity.
- Track record of shipping security improvements through influence and earning trust.
- Comfort working as the senior technical security voice in a lean team environment.
Responsibilities
- Own security posture of AWS environment, including CNAPP program and cloud misconfiguration risk.
- Review infrastructure changes across Terraform, Nomad, and Cloudflare edge.
- Build and own detection engineering practice on the SIEM.
- Own security incident response, including escalation paths, table-top exercises, and post-incident reviews.
- Manage the vulnerability management program across SCA, SAST, DAST, and container scanning.
- Manage and mentor the application security contractor.
- Conduct threat modeling and security architecture reviews for new products.
- Coordinate annual independent penetration testing and remediation routing.
