Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in B2B software product marketing.
- Proven experience developing positioning documents, messaging frameworks, and go-to-market plans.
- Experience working as an independent consultant for at least one year.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Marketing, Business Administration, or related field; MBA preferred.
- Strong understanding of product marketing principles, buyer journeys, and competitive analysis.
- Experience creating sales enablement materials and supporting revenue teams.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience working remotely and collaborating effectively in virtual environments.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office tools including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
- Experience with SaaS, cloud, cybersecurity, enterprise software, analytics, AI/ML, DevOps, IoT, or IT infrastructure preferred.
- Ability to commit to a 3–6 month contract engagement.
Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive go-to-market strategies including market segmentation, buyer personas, and competitive positioning.
- Create market research and product strategy documents such as MRDs and pricing models.
- Build messaging frameworks that communicate value propositions and product differentiators.
- Partner with clients and stakeholders to translate technical solutions into compelling business narratives.
- Develop marketing execution plans covering content, digital campaigns, social media, and PR.
- Support sales enablement efforts by creating tools and resources for revenue teams.
- Conduct customer and market research to validate messaging and improve effectiveness.
- Manage client engagements independently to ensure project delivery within timelines.
