Requirements
- 8+ years of professional engineering experience, including recent, hands-on coding.
- 3+ years leading engineers as a hands-on technical lead or player/coach engineering manager.
- Demonstrated ability to split time effectively between shipping code and people leadership.
- Proven track record of building and scaling complex software systems in SaaS or startups.
- Deep technical skills with the ability to reason about architecture and debug complex problems.
- Strong operational and process-oriented mindset.
- Experience influencing product architecture and strategy through systems thinking.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and work autonomously in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and leadership skills to align diverse stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Prior experience in pre-sales engineering is highly valued.
- Project management experience in cross-functional environments is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Contribute directly to the codebase by writing production code and reviewing PRs.
- Architect and implement scalable solutions while driving strong engineering practices.
- Mentor, coach, and unblock engineers to support their professional development.
- Lead end-to-end delivery by balancing speed with technical quality.
- Align engineering execution with business goals and customer needs.
- Implement systems and tools to improve development velocity and quality.
- Partner with cross-functional teams including product, design, marketing, and sales.
- Support pre-sales and customer onboarding by providing technical expertise.
- Coordinate external integrations and ensure secure, seamless implementation.
- Define and track engineering metrics and KPIs to ensure operational efficiency.
