Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in Software Engineering, with at least 3+ years in SRE, Platform Engineering, or similar roles.
- Experience with Government or Sovereign Cloud platforms such as Azure Government or AWS GovCloud.
- Proven experience in regulated compliance environments such as FedRAMP, CMMC, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, or SOX.
- Proficiency in cloud infrastructure management, specifically Azure.
- Strong programming skills in one or more languages: TypeScript, JavaScript, Go, Java, or C#.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, Terragrunt, or Pulumi.
- Experience with container orchestration using Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with CI/CD and GitOps tools such as GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, ArgoCD, or FluxCD.
- Proficiency with observability and monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, or the ELK stack.
- Ability to investigate complex systems independently and produce clear documentation.
Responsibilities
- Design infrastructure for high availability and fault tolerance on Azure Government.
- Define SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets for the platform.
- Run incident response and conduct blameless postmortems to drive improvements.
- Develop and maintain runbooks, architecture documentation, and operational guides.
- Build automation to reduce toil and improve fleet management.
- Manage infrastructure using IaC, CI/CD, and GitOps workflows in compliance-restricted environments.
- Identify reliability risks and implement remediation plans within regulatory constraints.
- Mentor other engineers and promote SRE practices across the organization.
