Requirements
- Three years of workers’ compensation lost time claim handling experience.
- Must have NH and VT claims experience.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to manage time and multiple priorities effectively.
- Ability to work effectively within a team.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Proficiency with computer systems, Word, Excel, and Image Right preferred.
Responsibilities
- Investigate, evaluate, negotiate, and resolve lost time claims within settlement and reserving authority.
- Communicate with insureds, injured workers, agents, brokers, and legal counsel to determine coverage and liability.
- Administer the delivery of timely, accurate indemnity and medical benefits.
- Collaborate with defense counsel to develop litigation plans and control legal expenses.
- Maintain quality claim files according to best practices and company procedures.
- Implement managed care strategies, coordinate rehabilitation, and process bills.
- Serve as a mentor and provide training for less experienced claim representatives.
- Present files for agent, broker, and insured reviews.
