Requirements
- 8+ years of experience designing complex B2B SaaS products.
- Demonstrated experience operating above a single product team.
- Direct experience owning or significantly shaping a design system, including component strategy, documentation, and governance.
- Experience with token-based design systems and component libraries spanning Figma and Storybook.
- Background at a design-forward, product-led company or equivalent top-tier craft.
- Proven ability to manage ambiguous, cross-team initiatives autonomously.
- Strong track record of mentoring designers and shaping team standards.
- Excellent communication skills with experience influencing product and engineering leadership.
- Preferred: Experience in accounting, financial services, or other operationally complex B2B verticals.
Responsibilities
- Define and maintain the quality bar for owned surfaces, ensuring consistency even as AI generates UI.
- Drive the strategic direction, quality, and adoption of the design system through AI enablement.
- Contribute directly to product strategy and vision in partnership with product leads.
- Solve complex system-level design challenges involving information architecture and cross-surface consistency.
- Lead quantitative and qualitative research efforts to inform product-wide decisions.
- Coach and mentor designers while leading design reviews and process improvements.
- Communicate design strategy and rationale clearly to cross-functional and executive stakeholders.
