Requirements
- Some college coursework or two years of equivalent work experience
- Associate degree in accounting or finance (strongly preferred)
- Experience administering institutional scholarships, foundation scholarships, state funding, or other student funding programs (preferred)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Comfort learning new technology and navigating databases
- Solid math skills - ratios, percentages, and everyday calculations
- Growth mindset, strong sense of ownership, and a collaborative spirit
Responsibilities
- Advise Learners on eligibility and application procedures for federal, state, and institutional funding programs
- Serve as a resource and mentor to new hires and fellow Specialist I's
- Act as the Teams communications SME and second-level point of escalation
- Support Specialist III's with training and special projects
- Collaborate cross-functionally to close funding gaps for Learners
- Provide financial resource guidance, including scholarships and private lending options
- Communicate ongoing updates on gap balance funding and disbursement status
- Review learner documents and applications for accuracy and completeness
- Conduct regular audits of your portfolio to ensure funding aligns with general ledger postings
- Contribute to cross-functional projects as they arise
