Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
  • At least 5-7 years of experience as a Platform Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or SRE.
  • Expertise in at least one programming language such as Golang, Java, Python, Ruby, or Rust.
  • Proven experience managing AWS cloud infrastructure and CI/CD at scale.
  • Deep experience with Docker and containerization in production environments.
  • Substantial experience participating in and leading an on-call rotation.
  • Experience developing, refining, and driving adoption of processes around change and incident management.
  • Strong command of Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), such as AWS CDK or Terraform.
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor other engineers and influence technical decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and automate the Software Development Lifecycle and infrastructure.
  • Own the reliability and performance of production systems, including leading incident response and root-cause analysis.
  • Develop and maintain monitoring, alerting, and observability systems.
  • Lead the troubleshooting and resolution of complex issues related to application performance, scalability, and security.
  • Set technical direction and make architectural decisions for platform infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with and influence engineering teams to build a scalable platform.
  • Mentor other engineers on infrastructure best practices, operational excellence, and secure system design.
  • Drive continuous improvement of tooling, processes, and standards to increase development velocity.
  • Participate in and help lead an on-call rotation.
