Job Details

5+ years of professional engineering experience shipping software on non-operated infrastructure.
Deep Linux systems fluency including systemd, init paths, and kernel/package lifecycles.
Strong packaging and distribution experience (Debian/apt, OCI images, A/B update schemes).
Proficiency in at least one systems-capable language (Go, Rust, Python, or C).
Infrastructure as code expertise with a focus on Ansible and Terraform.
Container runtime and orchestration experience.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions or similar).
Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (routing, DNS, firewalls, VPNs).
Demonstrated ability to work with cross-team stakeholders.
Comfortable using AI coding agents as part of a daily workflow.

Own the build and packaging pipeline for on-premises deliverables, including OS images, container images, and release bundles.
Design versioning and compatibility models for interoperability between appliance versions and cloud-side components.
Manage the end-to-end update mechanism, ensuring successful application, verification, and automated rollback for appliances with limited connectivity.
Build fleet-level release controls, such as staged rollouts, canaries, and drift visibility.
Extend appliance runtimes for local workload execution, telemetry, and pre-processing.
Ensure on-premises systems meet rigorous performance, scalability, and security standards through appliance-in-a-loop testing.
Participate in on-call rotations and collaborate with field and support teams to resolve complex deployment issues.
