Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or 5 plus years of relevant job experience.
- Deep knowledge of OSP Engineering standards and construction practices (e.g., boring, trenching, fiber pulling).
- Experience with civil engineering and construction for site development.
- Proven experience in the full life cycle of OSP and/or Civil Projects (estimating, engineering, permitting, constructing).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Project.
- Experience with a variety of mapping programs.
- Experience in strategic customer relationship management.
- Proven ability to build strong peer-level relationships.
- Strong general business acumen.
- Exceptional organizational, prioritization, and communication skills.
- Experience in OSP operations, administration, and maintenance.
- Knowledge of Fiber Network Management principles (route planning, fiber assignments, capacity management, splicing, and testing).
Responsibilities
- Define and review comprehensive plans for large, complex technical projects including delivery plans, budgets, risk assessments, and resource requirements.
- Lead cross-functional teams comprising internal employees, outside contractors, and engineering firms.
- Establish and drive clear accountabilities for vendors to ensure high performance and adherence to aggressive project timelines.
- Lead solution deployment covering network architecture, construction methodologies, material acquisition, field installation, and project acceptance.
- Establish project team structures, reporting metrics, and status updates for internal stakeholders.
- Motivate cross-functional teams of engineers, construction managers, and contractors to ensure successful project completion.
