- Professional experience teaching online via Zoom.
- Experience managing digital schedules.
- Deep understanding of Mandarin tones and pronunciation.
- Ability to explain the mechanics of native Mandarin sounds.
- High emotional intelligence and patience.
- Professional experience in a remote work environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct high energy 1-on-1 and small group speaking sessions via Zoom.
- Implement specialized training focused on Chinese phonetics, including initials, finals, and the four tones.
- Guide absolute beginners through the first steps of oral production, ensuring a strong foundation from day one.
- Lead intermediate learners in conversational practice, correcting nuances to ensure they sound natural and professional.
- Track student progress and provide actionable feedback on speaking performance.
- Collaborate with the coaching team to refine speaking curriculum and instructional methods.
- Participate in weekly team check-ins and quarterly planning (Rocks).
