Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Controls, Mechatronics, Industrial Automation, or related field.
- 8+ years of experience in Controls and/or Electrical Engineering.
- 3+ years leading engineering teams or project execution.
- Proven experience delivering brownfield automation or material handling projects.
- Experience managing multiple Tier1 ($100M+) projects.
- Strong proficiency in PLC-based controls systems, safety PLCs, and machine automation.
- Expertise in industrial networking (EtherNet/IP, DeviceNet, ControlNet, Profinet).
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical for design and schematics.
- Experience with SCADA/HMI platforms (Ignition, FactoryTalk View preferred).
- Experience managing engineering cost, EACs, forecasts, and schedules.
- Ability to travel to customer sites and project locations (up to 25%).
Responsibilities
- Manage engineering resources for internal and client projects.
- Recruit and interview engineering candidates.
- Oversee training and mentoring of engineering personnel.
- Execute annual performance reviews and recommend career advancement.
- Develop and maintain department engineering standards.
- Oversee engineering design, implementation, commissioning, and project close-out.
- Collaborate with executives to set department and individual goals.
- Develop material handling systems to meet client needs.
- Lead design reviews and support project engineers in client meetings.
- Oversee electrical and controls subcontractors and manage vendor factory testing.
