Requirements
- Proven ability to design, build, and maintain distributed data systems in a cloud-based environment.
- Hands-on experience with big data frameworks such as Spark or Databricks.
- Strong experience with Scala.
- Solid knowledge of cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
- Strong software engineering fundamentals with ability to write clean, testable code.
- Demonstrated judgment in navigating trade-offs between scalability, performance, resilience, and cost.
- Experience or interest in functional programming, data modelling, or workflow orchestration.
- English proficiency at C1 level or above.
- Polish language skills at B2 level or above.
- Experience with stream processing frameworks or event-driven architecture.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Experience working in containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes).
Responsibilities
- Architect, design, and implement large-scale distributed data systems and pipelines.
- Drive technical decision-making across batch and streaming data solutions.
- Explore and integrate new data orchestration and cloud-native technologies.
- Contribute to initiatives improving platform reliability, observability, and cost efficiency.
- Take shared ownership of data systems from design through deployment and support.
- Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and data scientists on customer-focused features.
- Mentor engineers and champion best practices in peer reviews.
