Requirements
- 5–8+ years of professional backend engineering experience.
- Strong Python development skills.
- Solid experience with Java.
- Hands-on experience building scalable backend services, REST APIs, and data pipelines.
- Deep expertise with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and cloud-native architectures.
- Experience designing and maintaining microservices and distributed systems.
- Familiarity with Large Language Models (LLMs) and AI/ML backend integration patterns.
- Experience utilizing AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot.
- Strong Application Security (AppSec) mindset.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate across cross-functional teams.
- Strong written and verbal English proficiency.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and deploy scalable backend services, APIs, and data pipelines using Python and Java on Google Cloud Platform.
- Develop new backend capabilities primarily in Python while maintaining and enhancing existing Java services.
- Integrate AI/LLM capabilities into backend applications and support modern AI-driven workflows.
- Modernize and optimize cloud infrastructure, ensuring high availability, scalability, and reliability.
- Leverage GitHub Copilot and other AI-assisted development tools to improve engineering productivity and code quality.
- Proactively identify, prioritize, and remediate security vulnerabilities to ensure application safety and data protection.
- Conduct code reviews, promote best engineering practices, maintain high test coverage, and produce clear technical documentation.
- Collaborate closely with product, data, and infrastructure teams to deliver high-quality backend solutions.
