Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in software engineering with a focus on Java-based API development and automation.
- Proficiency in Java and Spring Boot for backend API development.
- Experience with Aspect-Oriented Programming (AOP) in Java.
- Experience with infrastructure as code using Terraform.
- Hands-on experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions.
- Strong experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including Kubernetes, Cloud Run, Cloud Storage, and Artifact Registry.
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools (New Relic or Datadog preferred).
- Experience with microservices architecture and serverless design patterns.
- Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks (e.g., JUnit, Selenium, Postman).
- Proven experience working in Agile environments (Scrum or Kanban).
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure APIs using Java, Spring Boot, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Leverage GCP services such as Cloud Functions, Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, API Gateway, and Cloud Monitoring.
- Write and optimize data scripts for analysis and automation using Python, SQL, and Shell scripting.
- Implement and enhance automated testing frameworks including unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI.
- Conduct performance testing and optimization to maintain low-latency, high-throughput systems.
- Manage effective monitoring and alerting systems using tools like Grafana or Splunk.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and provide production support as part of a rotation schedule.
