Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field
- 2-3 years of development experience in Android App Development
- Strong knowledge of Google’s Android design principles and guidelines
- Mobile application development experience on Android with apps shipped in the Google Play Store
- Knowledge of Android development tools (Android Studio, Gradle, UI Layout, Fragment Usage, intents, lifecycle management)
- Strong skills developing with Kotlin and object-oriented design patterns
- Comprehensive knowledge of Android platform SDKs and 3rd party libraries
- Experience creating clients for REST APIs
- Familiarity with Git, Jira, Confluence, and Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Familiarity with development, program testing, and database management system software
Responsibilities
- Design and build advanced applications for the Android platform
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
- Work with outside data sources and APIs
- Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability
- Work on bug fixing and improving application performance
- Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency
- Perform upgrades and maintenance while modifying existing software to improve performance
- Manage core features of the app including services, network, and databases
