Requirements
- Experience excelling in a school finance management role (e.g., leading finance for a school or organization).
- Experience serving as part of a school leadership team or working closely with one.
- Experience leading financial audits.
- Intermediate Excel proficiency (e.g., vlookups, sumifs).
- Strong quantitative analysis, strategic thinking, and independent problem-solving skills.
- Excellent client communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain financial information to varying audiences.
- Comfort interacting with and advising C-Level school leadership.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- General comfort with technology systems, including Google Workspace.
- Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Responsibilities
- Serve as an outsourced CFO for a portfolio of 5-8 schools.
- Advise school leaders and boards on financial and operational policies, strategic decisions, and long-term financial planning.
- Produce forward-looking financial forecasts and set annual budgets.
- Present financial strategies to finance committees and boards of directors.
- Analyze, model, and solve complex business and financial problems.
- Provide development and informal oversight to School Finance Specialists and Analysts.
- Contribute to the internal development and innovation of the company's finance product and best practices.
