Requirements

  • MS or BS degree and certification in a related field.
  • 3 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficiency with GIS software, data modeling, and landscape scenario analysis.
  • Experience managing, maintaining, and populating databases and manual files.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Web Browsers.
  • Ability to travel in the US up to 30% of the time.
  • Ability to traverse rugged terrains (sandy beaches, roots, rocks) with slopes >25%.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to pass a motor vehicle record review.
  • Familiarity with Universal Trail Assessment Process (UTAP) or HETAP preferred.
  • Knowledge of ADA and Architectural Barriers Act guidelines preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Collect, manage, and maintain preserve-based infrastructure data.
  • Conduct field-based infrastructure and accessibility assessments for approximately 150 preserves.
  • Perform complex spatial analysis and produce advanced queries, reports, and maps.
  • Coordinate with business unit staff to gather existing data and support database operations.
  • Develop and deliver training to staff on data systems and GIS products.
  • Create and manage BU-specific dashboards to support recreational trail and accessibility guidelines.
