Requirements
- Proven delivery of large distributed systems.
- Demonstrable experience in system design with focus on latency, consistency, availability, and scaling.
- Hands-on experience with cloud-native architectures (microservices, containers, Kubernetes, IaC).
- Expertise in reliability and performance ownership (SLOs/SLIs, capacity planning).
- Excellent coding skills in Go, or experience with Python, C, C++, or Rust.
- Experience operating complex systems that span multiple teams.
- Comfortable using AI-powered developer tools within a team workflow.
- Demonstrated ability to influence without authority and align cross-functional stakeholders.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Reduce new region build timelines to meet customer demands.
- Manage infrastructure and capacity to support scalability of the Grafana Cloud platform.
- Own the full life cycle of code, including writing design docs, developer feedback integration, and testing.
- Participate in on-call rotations to ensure the health of production services.
- Drive reliability and performance ownership by defining SLOs/SLIs and conducting capacity planning.
- Align cross-functional stakeholders and set priorities in a remote-first environment.
