Requirements
- 3-4 years of experience in data engineering and/or analytics engineering.
- Strong SQL skills, particularly with Redshift or similar MPP data warehouses.
- Proficiency in Python and PySpark.
- Hands-on experience with AWS data services: S3, Glue, Redshift, and CloudWatch.
- Experience with workflow orchestration using Apache Airflow.
- Solid understanding of data modeling and warehousing fundamentals.
- Experience with BI dashboarding tools such as QuickSight, ThoughtSpot, Tableau, or Power BI.
- Ability to work independently and grasp new products and data models quickly.
- Strong collaboration skills to work across product, engineering, and DevOps teams.
Responsibilities
- Own dashboard changes end to end in QuickSight and ThoughtSpot including metrics, filters, and refresh management.
- Build and maintain batch and streaming ETL pipelines on AWS using Glue, S3, Redshift, and Airflow.
- Write and optimize Redshift SQL to improve query performance and resolve data mismatches.
- Support near-real-time data ingestion pipelines using Kafka/MSK CDC.
- Investigate and resolve customer-reported analytics discrepancies and perform root-cause analysis.
- Manage pipeline monitoring through CloudWatch and participate in incident triage.
- Develop deep product knowledge to translate business requirements into data models and dashboard updates.
