Requirements
- 5+ years of software development experience.
- 5+ years of backend engineering experience focusing on modern frameworks and scalable architecture.
- Proficiency in Python and/or Ruby.
- Strong understanding of Behavior-Driven Development (BDD).
- Strong understanding of REST.
- Strong understanding of CSS.
- Proficiency with database modeling and querying.
- Proficiency with design patterns.
- Ability to break down complex problems and evaluate tradeoffs.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
Responsibilities
- Plan, develop, maintain, and refactor front and backend systems using Python with Django / Flask / Pyramid.
- Take full ownership of complex, cross-functional projects from kickoff to completion.
- Communicate transparently about architectural and design decisions.
- Leverage AI coding tools to accelerate implementation and increase bandwidth for high-impact decisions.
- Collaborate with project managers, designers, and engineers throughout the product life cycle.
- Ensure platform infrastructure remains robust, scalable, and efficient.
- Contribute to continuous improvement via architecture reviews and guilds.
