Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
- 3+ years of proven engineering experience in Australia.
- Experience in foundation design, piling (CFA, bored, hand), ground retention, shoring, excavation, and demolition.
- Demonstrated exposure to Australian construction standards, codes, and project environments (NCC, AS/NZS).
- Strong command of structural and geotechnical design software (e.g., AutoCAD, WALLAP, PLAXIS).
- Ability to interpret complex geotechnical reports and translate data into designs.
- Proven ability to prepare take-offs, cost estimates, and client-facing quotes.
- Comfortable working across design and pre-construction commercial functions.
Responsibilities
- Design and engineer complex ground retention systems, CFA/hand piling, basement excavations, and demolition scopes.
- Solve on-site soil and structural challenges by adapting designs to site conditions.
- Collaborate with pre-construction and operations teams to transition designs into execution.
- Analyze geotechnical reports, site surveys, and structural blueprints to ensure safe, cost-effective foundation solutions.
- Maintain strict compliance with Australian building codes and safety standards.
- Prepare detailed take-offs, cost estimates, and client-ready proposals.
- Provide technical support to on-site crews to ensure design intent is met.
