Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in data science or applied analytics.
- Proven experience owning forecasting models in production environments.
- Strong proficiency in Python and SQL.
- Experience working with messy datasets.
- Strong ability to explain technical work clearly to non-technical users.
- Experience in healthcare or complex operational environments like staffing or capacity planning (preferred).
- Experience with capacity-constrained systems (preferred).
- Familiarity with solvers such as Gurobi (preferred).
Responsibilities
- Build and iterate production-grade demand and volume forecasts.
- Evaluate models through backtesting and real-world performance monitoring.
- Define and maintain input data contracts for capacity, constraints, and demand models.
- Transform raw data into model-ready features and constraints.
- Validate solver outputs, identify constraint conflicts, and resolve scaling issues.
- Compare model outputs against operational reality to explain gaps.
- Translate model tradeoffs into actionable business recommendations for clients and operators.
