Requirements
- Proven senior-level experience with Ruby on Rails development.
- Strong knowledge of REST APIs, including design, documentation, and integration.
- Solid experience with PostgreSQL and relational database modeling.
- Experience working with Git and GitHub workflows.
- Strong familiarity with automated testing practices, including unit, integration, and end-to-end testing approaches such as RSpec.
- Experience with cloud environments, especially AWS.
- Strong ownership mindset, with autonomy, proactivity, and responsibility for technical decisions.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with engineering and product teams.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain scalable and resilient RESTful APIs using Ruby on Rails.
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including architecture decisions, implementation, automated testing, deployment, and production monitoring.
- Contribute to the evolution of core systems, including monolithic architecture improvements, microservices initiatives, and integrations with external partners.
- Design and implement technical solutions focused on reliability, performance, and maintainability.
- Ensure code quality through reviews, Clean Code principles, SOLID practices, and engineering standards.
- Monitor and optimize application performance through APM tools, resource tuning, and database query improvements.
- Work within agile multidisciplinary squads using methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.
- Collaborate closely with product teams to translate business needs into effective technical solutions.
