Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering OR at least 4 years of experience in a related field.
- At least 2+ years of experience in a test automation engineering role focused on performance testing.
- Proficiency in performance testing tools such as JMeter, K6, or Gatling.
- Experience with APM tools like Grafana/Prometheus.
- Strong understanding of HTTP/HTTPS protocols and REST APIs.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python, Java, JavaScript, or C++) including basic OOP concepts.
- Experience with source control management systems such as Git.
- Experience with setup and querying of SQL databases (MS SQL Server, MySQL).
- Familiarity with Windows, Linux (Ubuntu), and macOS command line environments.
- Experience with virtualization software (VMware, Docker, Kubernetes) and deploying applications.
- Experience with bug tracking systems and technical report writing.
Responsibilities
- Identify low to moderate priority performance issues and debug errors within complex application environments.
- Parse logs and stack traces to troubleshoot issues and determine reproducible steps.
- Collaborate with support and sales engineering to understand customer setups and performance needs for the Ignition platform.
- Debug resource usage across Web Browsers, Java applications, and Mobile applications.
- Perform network-related performance analysis using tools like Wireshark.
- Simulate production environments using tools like Docker, Vagrant, and Terraform.
- Analyze SQL database integrity and query performance in MS SQL Server and MySQL.
- Maintain documentation and tracking of defects using issue tracking systems.
