Requirements
- Strong experience in engineering and process management within an agile environment.
- Knowledge or certification of standards addressing software artifact quality, such as ISO/IEC 25010 or ASPICE.
- Proven track record of developing and growing people and teams.
- Experience leading successful compliance and certification efforts.
- Proficiency with Linux.
- Understanding of stakeholder management in compliance and certification contexts.
- Background as a software developer preferred.
- Experience establishing product engineering development metrics and KPIs preferred.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities
- Lead initiatives to prepare Ubuntu for automotive, aerospace, industrial robotics, and other highly regulated environments.
- Transform complex regulatory demands into concrete engineering outcomes, values, and practices.
- Challenge and evolve engineering culture across the organization.
- Collaborate with engineering leadership to define and implement continuous improvement processes.
- Establish qualification requirements to support engineering quality standards.
- Define methods and approaches for measuring engineering quality and performance.
- Establish strategic relations with external working groups, committees, and partners.
