Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related fields.
- Postgraduate qualification in technology.
- Professional experience in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) environments.
- Strong experience administering and supporting VMware virtualization platforms.
- Strong experience managing Red Hat Linux servers.
- Knowledge of VMware vSphere, vMotion, DRS, High Availability, Lifecycle Manager, Storage, Single Sign-On, and Active Directory integration.
- Experience performing performance analysis, tuning, and troubleshooting in Linux and VMware environments.
- Knowledge of virtualization hardware architecture, server management, and BIOS/firmware update processes.
- Required certification: VCP-DCV (VMware Certified Professional - Data Center Virtualization) or higher, or RHCSA (Red Hat Certified System Administrator) or higher.
Responsibilities
- Administer and support VMware virtualization environments.
- Manage Red Hat Linux servers in high-availability environments.
- Monitor, analyze, and resolve infrastructure incidents and technical issues.
- Perform performance analysis, optimization, and tuning of virtualized environments and Linux servers.
- Manage VMware clusters, including Storage, vMotion, Distributed Resource Scheduler (DRS), and High Availability (HA).
- Support server hardware infrastructure activities, including firmware and BIOS updates.
- Automate operational activities using tools such as PowerCLI, Ansible, and Bash scripting.
- Manage configurations, automation processes, and infrastructure inventory through platforms such as Satellite and Puppet.
