Requirements
- Strong product thinking: ability to take a vague brief and frame/solve problems independently.
- Consumer product background: designed for B2C audiences at scale.
- Opinions and backbone: established design philosophy and willingness to defend it.
- Ownership mindset: manages projects from problem definition to shipped solution.
- Experience with experimentation, A/B testing, and data-led iteration.
- Early-stage or founding designer experience.
- Experience with social/viral product mechanics (nice-to-have).
- Background at consumer PLG companies like Spotify, Strava, Notion, or Monzo (nice-to-have).
- Proficiency in visual design craft and taste.
- Demonstrated curiosity, authenticity, and engagement in physical activities or sports (nice-to-have).
Responsibilities
- Own the full design process end-to-end, from understanding ambiguous problems to shipping solutions.
- Partner with leadership on product direction, roadmap priorities, and design philosophy.
- Drive consumer experience design across onboarding, social/viral loops, retention, and growth surfaces.
- Work in a PLG/A/B testing environment to ship features, measure impact, and iterate fast.
- Help shape the broader design team alongside founding designers.
