Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- 1–4 years of experience in solid waste, environmental services, or a related industry.
- Understanding of environmental laws, regulations, permitting requirements, and compliance practices.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and identify issues.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a cross-functional environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and data management tools.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel among regional locations as needed.
Responsibilities
- Review submitted special waste documentation, laboratory reports, and analytical data for compliance.
- Evaluate waste profiles and determine acceptance suitability based on regulations and safety standards.
- Communicate with customers to provide guidance throughout the waste approval process.
- Collaborate with internal teams to assess disposal options and prepare recommendations.
- Issue waste approvals following established policies and industry best practices.
- Maintain databases, records, and reports related to waste management activities.
- Identify opportunities to improve special waste processes through automation.
- Develop guidelines to improve consistency and efficiency in decision-making.
