Requirements
- 8+ years of experience building production-grade full-stack applications, with demonstrated impact in Staff Engineer, Principal Engineer, or Technical Lead roles.
- Proven track record of defining technical strategy and delivering architectural solutions adopted across engineering teams.
- Deep backend expertise in Java or comparable strongly typed languages, including service design, API architecture, reliability engineering, and performance optimization.
- Strong frontend engineering experience with React and TypeScript, including component systems, state management, build tooling, and modern rendering strategies.
- Extensive experience designing and maintaining external-facing APIs with a strong understanding of versioning, backward compatibility, error handling, and developer experience.
- Solid understanding of REST, GraphQL, gRPC, WebSockets, Server-Sent Events, and architectural trade-offs between communication paradigms.
- Experience building enterprise B2B platforms, including multi-tenancy, role-based access controls, audit capabilities, and data privacy considerations.
- Strong knowledge of microservices, service-oriented architecture principles, and application-layer integration patterns.
- Expertise in application performance, caching strategies, observability, distributed tracing, structured logging, and user experience metrics.
- Experience integrating AI and large language model capabilities into production applications, including streaming interfaces, evaluation frameworks, and reliability considerations.
- Familiarity with modern cloud-native environments, containerization technologies, CI/CD pipelines, and distributed systems.
- Proven mentorship experience and a track record of elevating engineering practices through coaching, reviews, and technical guidance.
Responsibilities
- Lead the architectural vision and technical strategy for the application layer, defining scalable patterns and engineering standards for future growth.
- Design and build enterprise-grade full-stack systems that support complex workflows, external integrations, and high-volume data operations.
- Define API contracts, versioning strategies, resource models, and developer experience standards for both internal and external consumers.
- Architect frontend systems that balance maintainability, scalability, and performance through robust component design, state management strategies, and reusable frameworks.
- Develop application patterns for asynchronous and long-running processes, including real-time updates, optimistic interfaces, and responsive user experiences.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and engineers to translate business requirements into technical solutions and roadmap initiatives.
- Drive application performance optimization through effective caching strategies, pagination models, observability practices, and system reliability improvements.
- Lead the integration of AI-powered capabilities into products, defining user experiences, monitoring frameworks, latency management approaches, and fallback mechanisms.
- Establish engineering best practices through design reviews, documentation, mentorship, and technical leadership across teams.
