Requirements

  • Qualified to practice law in England & Wales, the United States, or an EU Member State.
  • 7+ years of post-qualification experience, including significant in-house legal work.
  • Experience supporting international consumer technology, digital platform, or travel tech businesses.
  • Substantial experience supporting an Online Travel Agency (OTA), bedbank, or travel marketplace.
  • Strong expertise in international contracting under both common law and civil law jurisdictions.
  • Deep understanding of EU, UK, and US legal frameworks related to online travel (consumer protection, e-commerce, payment, and privacy laws).
  • Proven ability to manage complex international legal matters independently.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to lead cross-functional initiatives.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements and public-facing legal documentation.
  • Structure contractual frameworks while identifying and mitigating legal and commercial risks.
  • Advise on product design, booking flows, payment solutions, and commercial models across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure compliant business and payment flows.
  • Monitor global legal developments and assess their impact on business operations.
  • Lead the implementation of regulatory changes and coordinate external counsel across multiple jurisdictions.
