Requirements
- BA/BS degree or equivalent experience.
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or a related field (PhD strongly preferred).
- 8+ years of relevant industry and/or research experience with a track record of driving major initiatives.
- Deep theoretical and practical expertise in computer vision, representation learning, and multimodal learning.
- Strong experience with transformers, diffusion models, contrastive learning, and foundation models.
- Strong coding and prototyping skills in Python with emphasis on scalable, well-documented research code.
- Proficiency in modern deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch and TensorFlow.
- Proven ability to formulate research problems and design rigorous experiments.
- Demonstrated technical leadership and experience mentoring scientific staff.
- Strong communication skills for presenting research to both technical and cross-functional audiences.
Responsibilities
- Lead and drive ambitious research initiatives in computer vision, multimodal understanding, and visual generation.
- Develop novel models, algorithms, and training methodologies for image/video understanding, search, and multimodal reasoning.
- Translate cutting-edge research into practical model improvements and product-shaping innovations.
- Design, implement, and optimize large-scale vision and multimodal foundation models.
- Partner with applied scientists, ML engineers, and product teams to integrate research into production systems.
- Set technical direction and influence long-term strategy for vision and multimodal AI.
- Mentor scientists and engineers to foster a high-quality research culture.
