Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in data engineering, data platforms, analytics engineering, or related fields.
  • At least 3+ years leading teams or large-scale programs.
  • Hands-on experience with modern data platforms, including Databricks, Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, Spark, SQL, and Python.
  • Proven experience building and operating production-grade lakehouse or enterprise data platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish enterprise-wide data governance, quality programs, and scalable management practices.
  • Experience with dimensional modeling, semantic layers, and BI solutions such as Power BI.
  • Ability to manage vendors and delivery partners to drive execution.
  • Strong leadership abilities with experience developing teams and managing priorities.
  • Executive communication skills to translate technical concepts into business value.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, information systems, or data science (preferred) or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and oversee a modern lakehouse data platform, including ingestion pipelines, transformation workflows, orchestration, and storage architecture.
  • Establish data engineering best practices including version control, CI/CD, automated testing, and data quality frameworks.
  • Lead the creation of trusted data models and deliver a certified semantic data layer for BI and analytics.
  • Develop and implement data governance practices including access controls, ownership models, and business glossaries.
  • Provide data foundations for AI initiatives, automation, and operational improvement projects.
  • Partner with technology, finance, and operations teams to align data strategy with organizational priorities.
  • Lead internal teams and external delivery partners to establish milestones and accountability.
  • Build organizational capability through hiring, mentoring, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
