Requirements

  • Strong hands-on experience with Bazel, including writing rules, macros, and toolchains.
  • Familiarity with remote caching and build optimizations.
  • Experience setting up and managing CI/CD pipelines, preferably Buildkite.
  • Proficiency in Python, including packaging, dependency management, and virtual environments.
  • Proficiency in Go, including writing backend services and CLI applications.
  • Expertise in debugging Linux issues, including network and process problems.
  • Experience running and managing Kubernetes (managed or self-hosted).
  • Familiarity with AWS services and IAM policy management.
  • Hands-on experience with Terraform or OpenTofu for AWS environments.
  • Experience with observability, monitoring tools, and incident response.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement build, CI/CD, and tooling infrastructure.
  • Partner with the infrastructure team to own developer experience platforms.
  • Manage and optimize monorepo performance and build reproducibility.
  • Develop internal tools to increase engineering efficiency.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and incident response protocols.
  • Leverage automation to scale impact across research and engineering teams.
