Requirements
- 10+ years of professional software engineering experience, including significant recent experience with React Native development.
- Deep expertise in React Native across both iOS and Android platforms, including cross-platform challenges, native modules, performance optimization, and mobile release processes.
- Hands-on experience with Expo, including managed workflows, EAS Build, EAS Submit, EAS Update, and related development tradeoffs.
- Ability to work with native mobile technologies, including experience with Swift/Objective-C and Kotlin/Java when needed.
- Strong experience building customer-facing applications that support real users and business-critical workflows.
- Experience collaborating with API teams and contributing to technical requirements and implementation decisions.
- Demonstrated technical leadership as a senior individual contributor, including architecture ownership, code quality improvements, and mentorship.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across product, design, QA, and engineering teams.
- Ability to work independently and thrive in a fully remote environment.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain new customer-facing mobile experiences using React Native and Expo.
- Own the mobile application architecture, development workflows, performance improvements, testing strategy, and release processes.
- Develop and maintain integrations between React Native applications and native iOS and Android technologies.
- Collaborate closely with API engineers to define requirements, establish contracts, and deliver reliable product experiences.
- Partner with web engineers to create consistent cross-platform experiences and align technical approaches.
- Work with product, design, and QA teams to transform complex user needs into scalable and intuitive solutions.
- Establish technical standards through thoughtful architecture decisions, code reviews, documentation, and engineering best practices.
- Mentor other engineers by sharing knowledge, providing guidance, and helping improve team capabilities.
