Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- 4+ years of professional accounting experience.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Familiarity with QuickBooks and other current ERP accounting software.
- Knowledge of US GAAP principles and financial statement preparation.
- Familiarity with Federal and State tax regulations.
- Experience handling sensitive and confidential financial information.
- Strong analytical skills with a focus on accuracy and detail.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work independently or in teams.
- Real estate or hospitality industry experience is preferred.
- Entrepreneurial mindset and willingness to take on new challenges.
Responsibilities
- Review and complete final month-end bank reconciliations for corporate and property entities.
- Manage month-end closing procedures and review revenue reconciliations.
- Invoice properties for payroll and Opex reimbursements.
- Record payroll entries in QuickBooks and verify allocations.
- Oversee fixed asset accounting and maintain balance sheet account reconciliations.
- Review general ledger for accruals and collaborate with departments on calculations.
- Prepare lender reports and final financial packages.
- Support annual audits, tax processes, and budget preparation.
- Conduct monthly P&L reviews with operations teams.
- Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) for finance and accounting processes.
