Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Data Science, or equivalent practical experience.
- 4+ years of experience building and deploying machine learning systems in production.
- Proficiency in the full ML lifecycle: training, evaluation, deployment, monitoring, and iteration.
- Experience with ML infrastructure, including training pipelines, inference systems, model registries, and deployment workflows.
- Strong programming skills in Python.
- Proficiency with modern ML libraries such as PyTorch, scikit-learn, or TensorFlow.
- Experience with cloud-based ML platforms such as AWS SageMaker, Vertex AI, or MLflow.
- Proficient SQL and data modeling skills with experience handling large-scale datasets.
- Robust system design skills focused on scalability, maintainability, and reliability.
- Demonstrated ability to validate assumptions and choose success metrics for ML problems.
- Strong collaboration skills for working with product, data science, and domain teams.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, deployment, and operation of production machine learning systems for batch and online use cases.
- Build and improve infrastructure for the ML lifecycle, including training pipelines, inference, and automated retraining.
- Partner with data scientists, engineers, and product stakeholders to translate business problems into practical ML solutions.
- Guide the transition from prototype to robust production systems, including model packaging, orchestration, and observability.
- Improve developer experience by creating reusable patterns, templates, and tooling for production-grade models.
- Design and optimize evaluation and monitoring workflows, including system and business metrics.
- Build systems that support explainability, auditability, and safe downstream consumption of ML outputs.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to other engineers to raise the bar for engineering quality.
