Requirements
- Strong professional experience with NodeJS and TypeScript in production environments
- Strong experience with MongoDB schema modelling, indexing, and aggregation pipelines
- Hands-on experience with Docker and containerised application development
- Experience designing and building scalable backend systems and APIs
- Strong understanding of event-driven architectures and distributed systems
- Understanding of software architecture and ability to contribute to architectural decisions
- Strong knowledge of CI/CD, automated testing, observability, and security practices
- Understanding of OWASP Top 10 security vulnerabilities and mitigation
- Experience working in Agile software development environments
- Experience working with cloud environments such as AWS or GCP
- Experience with container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain scalable applications using NodeJS, TypeScript, MongoDB, Docker, and related technologies
- Contribute hands-on across the full software development lifecycle
- Collaborate with developers, designers, QA, and product stakeholders to deliver features
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, standups, and retrospectives
- Review technical designs and specifications to ensure engineering quality
- Drive engineering best practices across CI/CD, testing, observability, and security
- Contribute to architectural strategy and scalable system design
- Participate in on-call support and incident resolution
