Requirements
- 8+ years of professional software engineering experience building and maintaining production systems at scale.
- Strong expertise in Node.js and React.
- Deep fluency in modern JavaScript (ES6+).
- Hands-on experience with AWS and microservices architectures.
- Proficiency with containerized systems using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Comfort using AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor or Claude Code.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
- Strong sense of ownership and commitment to clean system design.
- Experience with spatial data, GIS systems, or location-based services is strongly valued.
- Experience with Python or familiarity with LLM APIs is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Design and scale backend services, data pipelines, and cloud infrastructure from initial concept through deployment.
- Partner with senior engineers to drive system design, scalability, and long-term architecture resilience.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and data science teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Mentor engineers through code reviews, knowledge sharing, and active coaching to improve team quality.
- Solve complex technical challenges across distributed systems and implement durable improvements.
- Improve development workflows, coding standards, and system observability.
- Explore and apply AI-assisted development tools to enhance engineering velocity.
