Requirements
- Strong background as a Senior AI/ML Engineer, LLMOps Engineer, or Software Architect.
- Experience building and scaling AI-powered applications in enterprise SaaS or complex data platforms.
- Deep technical expertise in Python or Go.
- Experience with semantic search, vector databases (e.g., Pinecone, Milvus, pgvector).
- Expertise in orchestration frameworks like LangChain or LlamaIndex.
- Experience with fine-tuning or prompt engineering of LLMs.
- Strong software engineering rigor including CI/CD, unit testing for AI, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and clean code architecture.
- Exceptional verbal and written English communication skills.
- High-agency mindset and ability to lead through influence without direct authority.
Responsibilities
- Design and maintain core AI orchestration layers, centralized API gateways, and reusable frameworks.
- Collaborate with core engineering teams to embed generative AI and machine learning features into the Actian Data Intelligence Platform.
- Establish guardrails, evaluation frameworks, and monitoring tools for model performance, bias, data privacy, and security.
- Monitor and manage cloud/API compute spend and optimize execution latency for production AI features.
- Lead workshops and design blueprints to empower non-AI engineering teams to build AI-driven features.
- Drive the execution of AI proof-of-concepts from development to production-grade code.
- Define and enforce the organization's official AI stack, including vector database selection and semantic caching strategies.
- Evaluate AI model providers and manage the integration of open-source models.
- Track operational metrics such as developer adoption rates, time-to-market reduction, and ROI.
