Requirements
- 5+ years of experience working as a Social Media Specialist, ideally in a non-profit, social impact, or volunteer-driven context.
- Exceptional communication and storytelling skills with the ability to craft compelling, on-brand content (articles, videos, etc.).
- Strong design and video editing skills with the ability to create independent content.
- In-depth knowledge of Buddhism and Mingyur Rinpoche’s teaching and meditation-related topics.
- Data-driven mindset with the ability to analyze community engagement metrics and user behavior.
- Excellent knowledge of Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, and other social media best practices.
- Hands-on experience with content management systems, email marketing platforms, and social media publishing tools.
- Strong project management skills to juggle competing priorities and deadlines.
- BSc degree in Marketing or a relevant field.
- Fluency in English.
- Reliable internet access and dedicated workspace.
Responsibilities
- Develop and curate engaging content for blogs and social media channels in collaboration with marketing, community, and design teams.
- Manage and grow social media presence across Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok.
- Foster a safe and inclusive community environment and build relationships through active engagement.
- Monitor and analyze social media metrics to assess campaign effectiveness and inform future content strategy.
- Supervise the work of the Social Media Specialist.
- Oversee the creation and implementation of the monthly content calendar aligned with organizational objectives.
