- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
- 3–5 years of experience in civil/site design, preferably in renewable energy, infrastructure, or land development.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and other civil design tools.
- Strong understanding of hydrology, grading, and drainage design principles.
- Familiarity with permitting processes and environmental compliance requirements.
- Experience working in an EPC or design-build environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with solar plant layout and interconnection concepts is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams.
- Attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Develop and review civil site designs including grading, drainage, access roads, foundations, and stormwater systems for utility-scale solar projects.
- Prepare and/or review design deliverables such as site plans, grading plans, erosion control plans, and construction details.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated project designs.
- Support permitting efforts by preparing civil design documentation and responding to jurisdictional comments.
- Perform site analysis using topographic data, geotechnical reports, and hydrology studies.
- Utilize software like Civil 3D, AutoCAD, Hydraflow, or HEC-RAS to produce accurate drawings.
- Evaluate constructability and provide field support, including review of RFIs and submittals.
