Requirements

  • 2+ years of related work experience in reimbursement.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of reimbursement compliance requirements.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and respond to payer requirements for prior authorizations.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and summarize clinical and cost literature.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Strong attention to detail and a team-oriented attitude.
  • Ability to work in a small, dynamic company environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree (preferred).
  • Medical device experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Enter and manage patient information in the database.
  • Verify patient insurance coverage and call insurance providers for status updates.
  • Collaborate with patients and sites to pursue authorization success.
  • Track and monitor authorization requests and appeals through EMR.
  • Train sites on program requirements and provide guidance on appeal processes.
  • Provide general coding information to physician customers upon request.
  • Seek continuous process improvement to increase success rates and reduce time to authorization.
