Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 8+ years of progressive software engineering experience.
- 3+ years in a Tech Lead, Architect, or Staff Engineer role.
- Expert-level mastery in at least one core language: Ruby on Rails or Python.
- Deep proficiency with PostgreSQL.
- Experience with TypeScript/JavaScript.
- Deep proficiency with AWS cloud infrastructure (e.g., ECS, RDS, Lambda, VPC).
- Proven track record of designing, building, and scaling high-volume API-led transactional or logistical platforms.
- Exceptional communication skills to articulate architectural trade-offs to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Available for critical tier-3 escalation architecture support if needed.
Responsibilities
- Define the long-term technical vision and architectural roadmap for B2B and consumer platforms.
- Drive decisions around microservices design, API design, database schemas, and data pipelines.
- Write clean, highly optimized, and maintainable code for critical system components.
- Establish engineering standards, champion rigorous code reviews, and advocate for modern testing practices.
- Own the reliability and performance of core platforms, resolving complex systemic issues.
- Act as a technical consultant and mentor to engineers across multiple squads.
- Partner with Product Managers and Pharmacy Operations to evaluate technical feasibility and align technology choices with business objectives.
- Architect systems with privacy by design to ensure adherence to HIPAA and SOC2 regulations.
