Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in mobile testing and automation, with lead-level ownership
- Strong hands-on experience with Flutter-based mobile apps and testing frameworks (Flutter Integration Tests, Appium, Espresso, Maestro etc.)
- Excellent programming skills in Dart, Java, Kotlin, or similar
- Proven experience designing and maintaining robust, scalable test automation frameworks
- Strong understanding of mobile-specific challenges (platform differences, lifecycle, performance, memory, network)
- Hands-on experience using AI tools (ChatGPT, Cursor, Copilot, custom LLM workflows)
- Experience with cloud device farms (Firebase Test Lab, BrowserStack, Sauce Labs)
- Experience integrating automation with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Codemagic, Bitrise, GitHub Actions)
- Ability to perform deep root-cause analysis (RCA) for automation failures and production issues
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Comfortable working in fast-paced, agile environments and driving quality initiatives independently
- Mobile performance testing (Startup time, FPS, memory, Battery, Jank)
- Solid understanding of API testing and backend dependencies
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mobile testing and automation for iOS and Android applications (Flutter-based)
- Architect, enhance, and own scalable mobile automation frameworks using tools such as Appium, Flutter Integration Tests, Espresso, Maestro Test etc.
- Drive adoption of AI-assisted testing (test generation, failure analysis, flaky test reduction, intelligent reporting, prompt-based workflows)
- Define and execute test strategies covering functional, regression, performance, reliability, and non-functional testing
- Debug complex issues across automation code, application behavior, device/platform differences, and CI infrastructure
- Own release quality, including automated regressions, risk assessment, and final QA sign-offs
- Partner closely with Product, Design, Dev, and DevOps to improve testability and reduce production defects
- Mentor and technically guide SDETs and interns; set coding, review, and automation best practices
- Track and report quality metrics, automation ROI, and coverage to stakeholders
- Continuously improve QA processes to reduce cycle time and increase confidence in releases
