Requirements
- 8+ years as a Chief Accounting Officer or Controller in Private Business.
- Relevant experience in Construction and Real Estate Development industries.
- Deep expertise in construction-specific accounting methods (Percentage of Completion Method).
- Expertise in construction financing and management of bank draws on construction loans.
- 8+ years of financial software experience, including required proficiency in Sage Intacct and Quickbooks.
- Proficiency in Google Workspace, Zoom, Slack, and cloud-based project management tools.
- Experience in banking partner evaluation and credit facility/Line of Credit positioning.
- Minimum of three years of experience in a remote work environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to maintain an organized remote workspace with high-speed internet.
Responsibilities
- Take ownership of month-end close schedules for multiple entities.
- Transition manual workbooks to automated, system-driven reporting.
- Lead Financial Discovery Assessments for high-revenue organizations.
- Manage the interface between client leadership, construction teams, and outsourced tax/accounting firms.
- Develop and maintain property-level performance metrics and sophisticated financial modeling.
- Strengthen internal controls over cash management and lien release tracking.
