Requirements
- Over 10 years of experience architecting large, distributed systems.
- Deep expertise in enterprise architecture at scale.
- Strong data fluency, including data mesh, dependency mapping, high-availability, and low-latency design.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Kafka, and Cassandra.
- Proficiency in Java, TypeScript, AWS, protobuf, Databricks, GraphQL, and REST.
- Experience using AI-assisted development and agentic coding tools.
- Proven track record of managing multi-stakeholder technical decisions using SPADE or architecture decision records.
- Strong domain-driven design instincts with experience in both greenfield and legacy environments.
- Ability to communicate effectively with executive and senior technical stakeholders.
- Willingness to travel two or three times a year for short trips.
Responsibilities
- Partner with one or two clients a year on complex architecture challenges.
- Map data dependencies and define data and AI ecosystem strategies.
- Drive legacy modernization and architecture trade-off analysis with stakeholders.
- Contribute to an enterprise-wide context graph and MCP server development.
- Produce architecture diagrams, design documents, and decision records.
- Facilitate technical decisions across multi-stakeholder environments.
